Who we are
Crafted by Nat (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a UK-based handmade craft business selling craft kits, stationery, and handmade gifts — online at craftedbynat.co.uk and in person at markets and fairs.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Crafted by Nat is the “data controller” of your personal information. This means we decide how and why your personal information is used.

What information we collect, and why
Newsletter and birthday giveaway sign-ups. When you sign up through the pop-up on our website, we collect your email address, your name (if you give it), and your birthday (for the giveaway only). We use this to send our newsletter and run the giveaway. We only do this with your consent, given when you sign up — you can withdraw it any time by unsubscribing or by emailing us.
Contact and enquiry forms. When you get in touch through our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and your message. We use this to reply to you and provide customer service. Our basis for this is legitimate interest.
Buying a kit or product online. When you place an order through our Kits shop, we collect your name, delivery address, email address, phone number (if given), and order details, plus payment information — see “Payment” below. We use this to process and fulfil your order, handle any returns or queries, and to keep financial records as required by law.
Cookies and website analytics. Our website uses cookies and similar technology, provided by our website platform Squarespace, to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. See “Cookies” below.
In-person payments at markets and fairs. When you buy from us in person, we take payment using a SumUp card reader. SumUp processes your card payment directly — we don’t see or store your full card details. We may ask for your email address if you’d like a digital receipt, or if you’d like to join our newsletter.
Payment
Online orders are processed securely through Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number. In-person payments are processed through SumUp.
Who we share your information with
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only where necessary, with: Squarespace, our website host, online shop, and newsletter provider (based in the US); our payment providers, to process payments; delivery and courier services, to get your order to you; and HMRC and our accountant or bookkeeper, if applicable, to meet our legal and tax obligations.
How long we keep your information
Newsletter sign-ups: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your details. Contact form enquiries: up to 12 months, unless we need it longer to resolve an ongoing issue. Order and payment records: 6 years, as required by UK tax law. Cookies and analytics data: as set out below.
Cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are needed for the site and shop to function (for example, remembering what’s in your basket) and can’t be switched off. Analytics cookies help us see how visitors use the site, so we can improve it — these are only used with your consent. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time, and through our cookie preferences where enabled.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to: ask what personal information we hold about you; ask us to correct anything that’s wrong; ask us to delete your information, where applicable; ask us to restrict how we use your information; object to us using your information, including for marketing; ask us to move your information to another organisation; and withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator — ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
Children’s privacy
Our website and shop are intended for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, for example as our business grows or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated — please check back occasionally.
